I appreciate your efforts in these regards to date. Your Thousand Oaks office did contact me. They were able to get the VA to respond in a July 29 2010 letter.

This correspondence essentially said nothing. The VA wrote " we are currently gatheriing information to accurately respond to your enquiry; However it is taking more time than originally expected. A final response is forthcoming."

Any reading of that leads to the conclusion that nothing was said. So, I like many other veterans stand waiting for a response to our legitimate complaints. I am sorry to say this is the story that all Viet nam era vets have faced. We were abandoned by the government and except for a few instances, like your offer to help, we remain alone.

I don’t mean to complain but the story sure changes once your youth is spent honoring your nation. It is sad state of affairs that we are left to navigate the morass of a federal bureaucracy. A bureaucracy that is satisfied informing the afflicted we will get back to you.
